Qubit 

A qubit (Q' - bit) is a two-state (or two-level) quantum-mechanical system.

eQo Brands "Qubit" is a multi-state solar product. A lantern and a torch, a battery charger and a tablet/phone charger, a solar power source and a AA battery charger!

In addition to our current Qubit unit, eQo Brands is developing ancillary products using the same Fuel Cell and sustainable solar technology to produce very high quality new products including  Fire Starters, Water Purification, Pest Control, Temperature Controlled Gloves, Socks, Vest, and Hats. Our new textile facility is nearing completion in the Dominican and production is scheduled to begin in 2024.

Do you ever feel that slight twinge of guilt when you toss yet another defective product into the landfill?   

We believe that a consumer product company has a serious responsibility to create eqo-friendly products that maximize performance - while at the same time minimizing/eliminating short- and long-term environmental impact.

 Our passion for the great outdoors is matched only by our passion for the products we design, and for those users that love them as much as we do.  We idealize that natural place unspoiled, where we take only solace and leave only footprints.  That mentality drives every aspect of our product design and development process from start to finish.

Both Qubit and the packaging have been meticulously designed to be as eQo-friendly as possible.  Not only is Qubit manufactured from 100% recycled plastic, we use high recycle rate, environmentally friendly, polycarbonate.  We never use PVC, ABS, phthalates, etc. (that are typically found in other low-cost solar products), as these materials have a very negative impact on the environment.

Even though it is more expensive than these other plastics, polycarbonate is much more ecologically friendly, and is much stronger and more durable.  This ensures that Qubit will outlast cheap single use inflatables that end up in the landfill. Qubit does not have to end up in the Lanfill as all parts are not only 100% recyclable in theory, but in practice they have a very high rate of recyclability due to their high value to recovery cost ratio.  

Furthermore, Qubits packaging is made from 100% renewable and biodegradable wood stock sources.  All packaging is made from FSC certified fiber recycled cardstock using 100% post-consumer content, is printed with renewable vegetable-based inks, and is sealed with water soluble adhesives.

We never employ single use plastics!  

Finally, our long-life rechargeable "Fuel Cell" battery technology eliminates the discarding of 1000s of disposable batteries over Qubits lifetime.
