Our Humble Beginnings
We started out as a consumer products design company and helped some current popular outdoor gear brands engineer lighting products. What we found along the way was our ideals where not in sync with many of the companies we were helping. We want people before profits, high quality environmentally friendly materials over cheap disposable toxic landfill waste, and truth above marketing.
Qubit was Born
eQo Brands was formed in 2020 and we started making high-quality outdoor gear based on environmentally sustainable product designs and socially sustainable production methods. In addition, we developed our Mico-Business strategy to achieve our give back programs and assist developing countries with a means to illuminate their lives and communities. Qubit is our first product and addresses the highest needs for outdoor enthusiasts and those in developing communities - light! Qubit is your personal fuel cell charger, USB port phone/tablet charger, and a 300-lumen waterproof and dimmable light. This powerful all in one unit is very high quality and fuel cells can be used in other eQo brand products or in any AA battery powered item.
Qubit & Beyond...
By definition a "qubit" (Q' - bit) is a two-state quantum-mechanical system.
eQo Brands "Qubit" is a multi-state solar product. A lantern and a torch, a battery charger and a tablet/phone charger, a solar power source and a battery power source. In addition to our current Qubit unit, eQo Brands is developing ancillary products using the same Fuel Cell and sustainable solar technology to produce high-quality new products including Fire Starters, Water Purification, Pest Control, and a temp-controlled clothing line.
People before profits
While on a humanitarian trip to the Dominican our business strategy was envisioned and now many years later, we have realized our vison by creating Micro-Business partnerships in Central America and the Caribbean. We are able to manufacture high-quality products, reduce counterfeiting, decrease shipping time from Asia (and the associated fossil fuel consumptions). All while helping local entrepreneurs provide economic opportunities for thousands in underprivileged local communities. We provide a hand up, not a handout. (Please watch video below)

After assembled for consumption in the US and for local markets, units are sold at a profit without any outlay of capital from our partners. It's a win-win opportunity and has had a positive effect in the local communities.
